Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Khurram Shahzad

Dr. Khurram Shahzad is a medical graduate from King Edward Medical College Lahore. He did his Masters in Public Administration from IAS, Punjab University and MS in Health, Population & Society from London School of Economics, UK. He is also an Alumnus of International Visitor’s Leadership Program (IVLP), USA specializing in Administration and Accountability in Local Governments.

He joined civil services in 1998 and has more than 25 years experience working as a civil administrator in Government of Pakistan and Punjab Government. He has worked as Deputy Commissioner Gujrat and Rahim Yar Khan. He remained Project Director of World Bank funded Disaster and Climate Resilience Improvement Project (DCRIP), Flood Emergency Reconstruction and Resilience Project (FERRP) and Punjab Green Development Program (PGDP).

He has also served as Special Secretary to Chief Minister Punjab, Director General Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Punjab, Chief WTO, Industries Department, Deputy Secretary (Police), Home Department, Director PDMA Punjab and General Manager (Marketing, Distribution and Administration), Ministry of Industries, Government of Pakistan. Before assuming the charge CEO Nawaz Sharif Center of Excellence for Early Childhood Education ( NSCoE), he was serving as Director General Literacy & Non-Formal Basic Education Punjab. His main areas of interest include Organizational Change and Behaviour, Change Management, organizational Learning, Public Policy and Administration, Health Policy and Administration, Disaster Risk Reduction, non-formal education, out of school children and early childhood education.

Sana Zulqarnain

Sana Zulqarnain is a visionary leader in Early Childhood Education with over 15 years of experience with different leadership roles at The City School. She is associated with LUMS through her ongoing MPhil in Educational Leadership, which complements her role as Director Schools.

Her work focuses on curriculum development, teacher training, and creating holistic learning environments that nurture inquiry and play-based learning. She has led professional development collaborations with Cambridge and Aga Khan University, and international experts such as Christopher Jolly & Sharon Hennam-Dale, and pioneered initiatives including Leadership Learning Circles, parent engagement programs, and projects like the EYE Innovators Tribune and TEDx Early Years. Her leadership is defined by collaboration, research, and a relentless pursuit of excellence in early years education.

Director Operations

Sadaf Malik
Sadaf Malik, a dynamic and friendly professional, was born and raised in Saudi Arabia and received her early education there. With a strong academic drive, she later moved to Pakistan and graduated from the Lahore School of Economics with a double major in BBA in Marketing and Finance. Her passion for financial management led her to pursue an MBA in finance from the same institution.

Her professional career began in the banking sector, providing her with a solid foundation in financial operations. She then transitioned into a managerial role at the UK Visa Application Centre, where she served as Manager of Operations. Seeking a deeper connection with academia, Sadaf returned to her alma mater, initially taking on the role of Assistant Registrar for the undergraduate program. Her journey within the institution continued as she joined the Corporate Relations Office as Assistant Director, and later played a key role in establishing a business incubation center at the Lahore School of Economics.

Before taking on her current role as Director of Operations at the Nawaz Sharif Centre for Excellence in Early Childhood Education, she served as the Senior Assistant Director for Alumni Relations. Throughout her career of 17 years, Sadaf has remained committed to fostering innovation, building strong professional networks, and contributing meaningfully to both ducation and enterprise.

Sufian Ahmad Bajar

Sufian Ahmad Bajar is a University of Warwick graduate, and he has completed MBA and Undergraduate program from FAST-National University.

He has 12+ years of diverse experience in the education and public sector, including infrastructure development, managing facilities, creating innovative learning environments at leading institutions like Bahria University, Nordic International School and GC University Lahore.

Prior to joining Nawaz Sharif Center of Excellence for Early Childhood Education, he has served as Director and later as Deputy Registrar at the prestigious Government College University Lahore. Where he successfully achieved two HEC Innovator Seed Fund development projects worth $35,000 each.

Minahil Hussain
Ms Minahil Hussain, a dedicated educator with a Master’s degree in Economics and over 10 years of enriching experience in early childhood education. Before joining this organisation, she worked as a Vice Principal for 5 years and had been engaged in preparing students for the entrance exam of the prestigious Aitchison College. Passionate about shaping young minds, she brings a unique blend of academic excellence and hands-on expertise to the classroom with her experience in implementing Reggio Emilia approaches in classrooms at Lahore American School, guided by the experts of the approach.
In addition to her teaching experience, Minahil Hussain is a seasoned public speaker and has led numerous teacher training workshops, empowering fellow educators with effective strategies and tools for early learning. She is also a Certified Jolly Phonics teacher. Certified internationally in Anti-Bullying, Positive Discipline in the Classroom, and Educational Planning, she is committed to fostering inclusive, respectful, and dynamic learning environments. Beyond the classroom, Ms Minahil is also a proud national hockey player, exemplifying discipline, teamwork, and perseverance—qualities that greatly influence her teaching and leadership philosophy. With a passion for education, a wealth of experience, and a global perspective, she continues to inspire students and teachers alike.
